Volunteers Keep the Thrift Store Humming

Thrift store manager Lena Van Gilder was asked recently how she would choose a thrift store volunteer to recognize. "How could I, she exclaimed, everyone here is so dedicated, what would we do without each and every one of them? It takes every one of them and their special gifts to make the Thrift store work so well. We have over forty five volunteers, some who have been doing this for fourteen years or long."
Of course she's right. This group of resident and community volunteers are dedicated to the people and the community they serve. From the sorting and pricing areas, to stocking shelves and hanging clothes, to the wrappers and cashiers and everything in betwee, it's the work of many hands that keep this successful operation of the Warm Beach Fellowship going.
Lena says, "It really is God providing for all us through a cycle. The Lord works in people's lives providing us donations, then He provides us volunteers to process it all, then He brings us customers to help us meet their needs and this allows us to give back to Warm Beach Senior Community, where He directs our lives." The Thrift Store is entering one of its' busier seasons, come listen to the volunteers humming!
